Our run covers the whole house, grouped the way most people think about their own place:

The fittings you touch every day:

The services inside and under the walls:

The rooms and services that carry the day-to-day load:
Ageing heaters and drain trouble get a full page each, so the depth lives there rather than here: hot water plumbing and drain blockages.
$0 call-out fees, available 24/7, and same-day where we can.

Home plumbing runs from the meters to the last tap: the incoming water service, the gas pipework and every fixture at the end of each line. Bongaree holds three housing generations in one town, from pre-war timber cottages near the old jetty to the brick-veneer houses and villa units of later decades.
The mix keeps moving, too. Figures for the wider area put population growth at 9.2 per cent between 2020 and 2025, with 1,574 dwellings approved across those five years. New homes bring new pipework, but plenty of the older stock still runs on materials that ask for attention.
Plenty of pre-1960 cottages near Banya Street and Third Avenue still carry their original galvanised iron service pipes. Galvanised iron rusts and narrows from the inside, so flow drops years before the pipe lets go.
Much of the town grid sits on imported sand, levelled from a hill into old swamp. A trench there can hit loose fill and groundwater in the same hole, which slows any buried repair.
Unitywater owns the mains and the public sewer; everything on your side of the meter is yours to keep in good order. That split decides who you call for what.

Queensland draws a line between fixing what's there and putting in something new. Mending a broken pipe, or repairing or replacing a fitting or fixture, is minor work: a licensed plumber does it, without a permit or a Form 4. Installing a new fixture, or shifting an old one, counts as notifiable work instead.
Notifiable work needs no council permit, but it does finish with paperwork. We lodge the Form 4 with the QBCC inside 10 business days of the job's end and hand you a copy.
Most of what we get called out for sits on the repair side:
The install side is where our bathroom plumbing and gas fitting work comes in. Swapping a vanity or running a gas line out to the barbecue: either way, we tell you up front which category the job falls into.
Gas has its own rules again. Only a licensed gasfitter may install, service or certify gas pipework and appliances. Ask to see that licence before anyone touches a fitting.
If work turns out defective, or a Form 4 never shows up, you can lodge a complaint with the QBCC through its online plumbing and drainage form.

Some faults can't sit until morning: a burst pipe, a gas smell, flood water, or water and gas gone from the taps entirely. Tenancy law classes a gas leak, a burst or badly leaking water service, flood damage and a toilet that's blocked or out of action as emergency repairs, which is a sensible yardstick for any owner. Drips and slow leaks are different: those can hold until a booked visit.
A local wrinkle runs beneath the urgent ones. Most of the town's reticulation mains are asbestos-cement, and that material fails by cracking rather than weeping. A break upstream can drop your pressure or push silt through the fittings.
Not sure which side of the line your problem sits on? Our emergency plumber page sorts the can-wait from the can't.

Quick first steps for a plumbing emergency:
We're available 24/7, and there's no extra cost for nights, weekends or public holidays.

Four things set a plumbing price: what's broken, what parts it needs, how hard the fixture is to reach, and the hours the job takes on site. We don't do hourly rates or dollar guesses over the phone. You see a fixed quote before any work starts, and the figure doesn't move afterwards.
A proper written quote names the work being done, the parts and the labour, so you can put two quotes side by side and compare them properly. Ours does exactly that.
A few local conditions can change the time side of the quote:
Whatever we find, the figure reflects it and stays fixed.

We don't stop at the island's shopping strip. Our suburbs we cover page lists everywhere we work, island and mainland alike. The run includes Woorim on the surf side and Sandstone Point at the mainland end of the bridge, so ring and ask if your place sits on either side.

Expect $0 call-out fees in Bongaree, plus no extra cost for nights, weekends or public holidays.

You'll have a fixed quote before any work starts, with flat-rate pricing and no hidden fees.
Our Fix-It-or-It's-Free guarantee (T&Cs apply) and lifetime labour warranty cover the work, and if we're late, $100 comes off your bill.
We're locally owned and operated and proud MPAQ members, and every job is done by a licensed plumber.
Start with the licence: search the plumber on the QBCC register before agreeing to anything. Then get the job's scope, parts and labour written down. After any notifiable work, ask for your copy of the Form 4.
Queensland leaves you a short list: a washer or jumper-valve swap, a shower head, a filter cartridge and the rubbers inside a toilet cistern. Swapping the tap or toilet itself is licensed work, so call us for that.
Yes, that age matters. Homes plumbed before 1989 may carry lead-based solder at the joints, and the oldest cottages can still run galvanised iron service pipes that rust shut from within. Both are worth a look before either fails.
A burst pipe, a gas smell, flood water and a complete loss of water or gas supply can't sit overnight, and neither can a toilet that won't flush. Drips and slow leaks are fine to book ahead for.
Everything from the front tap to the sewer boundary: bathroom and kitchen fittings, laundries, taps, toilets, gas and the water pipes between them. Water heaters and drain problems get their own pages on this site.
No, not for repairs, notifiable work or the unregulated jobs. Anything classed as permit work, like the plumbing for a brand-new house, does need council approval, and the plumber secures it before work begins.
